ABOUT TERI
Teri Thompson is a federal criminal defense attorney with over 30 years of trial experience. She has directly represented over 35 men and women facing the death penalty in state and federal courts around the United States.
Teri’s legal background is unmatched: Qualified as Learned Counsel since 2018, she currently represents men and women facing the death penalty in the federal courts of Alabama, California, Georgia, Illinois, New York, South Carolina, Texas, and the Virgin Islands. She is also an adjunct professor where she lectures in the area of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and the American Court System.
Teri’s passion is uncompromising: She teaches trial skills to attorneys at the nationally-acclaimed Bill Daniel Trial Advocacy Program sponsored by GACDL. She also volunteered for Clemency Project 2014, an initiative of President Barack Obama, where she worked with federal inmates around the country to fight for clemency from unjust federal drug sentences.
